Training Survey Launched

One of the best ways we can become a stronger and more effective political party is through making training and education available to our members. We have a wealth of highly skilled people in the party and we can benefit by those skills being shared.
Without exception, every single one our MPs, MEPs and their agents have attended training courses organised by the party. It makes the difference between winning and losing. Many councillors and other party members have benefited from training within the party too.
Training within the Liberal Democrats is generally free of charge even though some of the courses are identical to and taught by the same trainers as courses that costs hundreds of pounds in a commercial setting. Many members (especially, but not only, younger members) have have found skills developed on party training useful outside of political activity.
We can tailor training to the needs of brand new members or the most experienced campaigners and for all levels in between. Training can cover such areas as knowledge of Liberal Democrat policy, election campaign skills and general organisational skills.
I believe we need more training and we need to ensure it really meets the needs of our members.
I am co-ordinating a Training Survey of Liberal Democrat party members in our region. Please take a few minutes to complete it. It will help us develop a strong training programme that really helps all our members achieve what they want as members of the Liberal Democrats.
